lcsa annual regatta

The Lake Chelan Sailing Regatta is held every year on the weekend after Labor Day in September. This event is open to all sail boats and all skill levels. The focus is on fun, the regatta is not a points race for most of the classes so it's a great event for beginning sailors to test their skills. Fleets include San Juan 21s, Hobie Cats, C-Lark 14s, Flying Dutchman, Thistle, Flying Scot, open monohull dinghy and open mono hull over 21.

The regatta usually includes three or more races on Saturday and two or more on Sunday. We have a dinner event on Saturday evening that allows lots of time for socializing and swapping sailing stories.

Chelan is a resort community in Central Washington located at the foot of 55 mile long, glacier fed Lake Chelan. Clear, clean water and top notch accomodations help make this one of the best sailing venues to be found.

The Lake Chelan Sailing Regatta is scheduled for September 6 and 7 2008, Join in the fun!

Gee Bob, that's a nice dress.

The wind will blow.

Sun, sails, wind, and water. What more is there! .................................................................................Solstace receives a few cookies from the committee boat................................

The race committee watches as the prepratory flag goes up in the start sequence................................The Flying Dutchman rounds the leeward mark.

Ray Hines, Keith Stone, Roberta Needles, Great Music!!!

There's a bunch of sails out there! What a great sight to see as the dinghy fleet heads down wind. Kermit the fastest San Juan 21 rounds the leeward mark.
